2 Off Ice Puck Skills Drills

Drill 1- Quick Hands- Stick Lifts to Top Shelf.

Player and Coach line up side by side. Coach places his stick over the loose puck. Shooter/ Player has to lift his stick quickly and elevate the puck into the upper corners of the net. Works on quick elevation of the puck, quick hands, making plays in a small space. Watch video below.

Drill 2- Eyes Up Stickhandling.

Player and Coach are about 10 feet apart. Net is behind the player to catch the pucks. Player has to dribble/ stickhandle a golf ball or wooden stickhandling ball as the coach sends pucks towards the net. Player has to keep their eyes up and stickhandle the ball away from the pucks behind sent in his direction. Watch video for drill in action.
