Great drill for a small group or station based practice.
Use a circle for the player to skate around using cross overs. With pucks on their sticks and their eyes up, players have to call out the number of fingers the coach (in the middle of the circle) is holding up.
Reinforces basic athleticism: Feet Crossing Over and hands moving with the puck- in different directions and also playing with their head and eyes up.
Players need to develop these skills as they advance from the basics.
