Clock Drill- Great for all ages and abilities to develop footwork, transitions, and balance.
Use any circle
Players go twice around the circle, transitioning from Forwards to Backwards (and/or Backwards to Forwards) at each corner positioned like the numbers on a clock- 12, 3, 6, 9.
After the player in front of them completes the circle once, the second player in line goes. Player 1 once finished going around the circle two times, will go to the end of the line.
Make sure players do not cheat the drill and perform their transition completely at the designated tire or cone (not before or after). Make sure they hold their edge.
Also, make sure they do a complete transition- not a mowhawk or just their upper body.
Coaching Points- upper body control and stick control are key. Perform it with speed to increase intensity.
