  • Defenseman and Forward lines on the same side each on the opposite ends of the ice (4 lines total)

  • On the Whistle, the Defenseman on the hash marks, at each end of the ice, will skate forward around the top of the circle (without a puck) then transition to backwards, before going forwards again.

  • The Forwards will begin to skate into the neutral zone then far end, sweeping down low to present themselves as a target for a breakout pass from the D.

  • The 2nd defenseman in line will release a loose puck for the D skating the circle to pick up before hitting the Forward on an outlet pass.

  • Forward carries the puck with speed through the neutral zone and then shoots on net.

  • Stops on the net.

  • Defensemen will gap up to the blueline on the same side of the ice as the forward who just shot the puck.

  • The Forward (after the first shot) will release to the corner, pick up a new puck, pass Low to High to the Defenseman waiting at the blueline, and then get back to the net for a screen.

  • Defenseman will walk the blueline and try to get to the middle of the ice before launching a point shot with the forward screening.

  • Practice good habits like Calling for the puck, flat passes and setting good targets, stopping on the net, screens, hitting the net etc.

  • Switch sides halfway through.

  • ENJOY!
