Get your coaches involved and Add Active Resistance to your drills

Develop Game Like situations for skills and Players who Play with Their Eyes Up

Coaches… Lets get some of the tires, cones and obstacles off the ice and when we have the man power and help, use our coaches to provide the obstacles our athletes need during the drills.

Take a look at these two clips in the videos to see active resistance happening with the coaches we have working the drills in these simple puck protection scenarios.

These and other drills can be a great way for kids to gauge distance and pressure, play with their heads up and much more. They are great for:

  • Puck Protection Drills

  • Stickhandling drills

  • Shooting through or around

  • Passing around or away from

It also engages our coaches on the ice and gets them involved. Incorporate this in your next practice!

Enjoy
