Trimble's Drill of the Week- LA Kings 4 v 2
Position your Forwards on the faceoff circle- stacked in their lines, and defenseman at the blue and red lines.
On the Whistle- D1 will go and shoot on the near goalie, then turn up ice as the trailing player on the 4 v 2 rush
Long pass by D2 to the group of forwards, who then pass back to D3, who leaves it for the attacking forwards to pick up.
Forwards then attack D2 and D3 with D1 as a trailer on a 4 v 2 rush scenario.
Emphasize zone entry concepts, middle drive and bringing pucks to the net.
On the whistle, new puck comes out from the coach.
D1 will have to retrieve the puck, regroup it with the forwards (on side) and attack again in a 2nd 4 v 2 rush.
